P0107 - Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor Circuit Low

The Technical Definition: This means the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) has detected that the voltage signal from the MAP sensor is below the minimum expected threshold, which is typically under 0.5-0.6 volts.

Common Symptoms: Symptoms include a check engine light on, rough running or black smoke, poor fuel economy, stalling, and surging.

Typical Fix: This code is most often caused by a failed Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor, which is very easy to replace. It is also important to inspect the MAP sensor's electrical connector for loose pins, corrosion, or damage, and trace the wiring harness for signs of chafing or breaks.
