P0113 - Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor Circuit High
The Technical Definition: The PCM receives a voltage signal from the IAT sensor that is higher than the normal operating range, indicating an open circuit or broken wire.
Common Symptoms: The check engine light turns on, there is a slight decrease in fuel economy, and you might experience rough starting in very cold weather.
Typical Fix: Always check the easiest thing first: ensure the sensor (located right on the main air intake tube) is actually plugged in. It is very common for people to unplug it while checking the air filter and forget to plug it back in. If the connection is secure, replacing the sensor resolves it.
