P0520 - Engine Oil Pressure Sensor/Switch Circuit Malfunction
The Technical Definition: The computer is receiving an erratic, implausible, or out-of-range signal from the oil pressure sensor.
Common Symptoms: Check engine light is on. The oil pressure gauge on the dash might peg all the way to maximum, drop to zero, or bounce around erratically.
Typical Fix: This is an incredibly common failure on the 3.6L engine. The fix is replacing the oil pressure sensor. Unfortunately, the sensor is located under the lower intake manifold, so it requires removing the upper and lower intake plenums to reach it.
