P0755 - Shift Solenoid "B" Malfunction

The Technical Definition: The PCM indicates a malfunction in the Shift Solenoid "B" circuit, which controls the hydraulic fluid pressure required for smooth gear shifts.

Common Symptoms: Symptoms include an illuminated check engine light, jerky or harsh shifting, and the transmission slipping or entering a failsafe "limp" mode to prevent damage.

Typical Fix: Low or dirty transmission fluid is a major culprit, so a fluid and filter change is often recommended. If that fails, the mechanic will usually need to replace or clean the defective Shift Solenoid B.
