P0760 - Shift Solenoid "C" Malfunction

The Technical Definition: The PCM detects an electrical or mechanical failure in the "C" shift solenoid circuit, compromising the transmission's ability to direct fluid correctly.

Common Symptoms: Drivers often notice delayed engagement when shifting, thuds or jerks between gears, increased fuel consumption, and the vehicle getting stuck in a specific gear.

Typical Fix: The most effective repair involves draining the fluid, removing the transmission pan, and replacing the faulty "C" shift solenoid. Inspecting and repairing damaged wiring between the ECU and the solenoid is also critical.
