P2098 - Post Catalyst Fuel Trim System Too Lean (Bank 2)

The Technical Definition: The vehicle's onboard computer (ECU) has detected a lean air-fuel mixture on the exhaust side of the catalytic converter in engine Bank 2.

Common Symptoms: Common signs include check engine light illumination, reduced fuel efficiency, rough idling, hesitation during acceleration, and a sulfur-like smell from the exhaust.

Typical Fix: The issue is often resolved by repairing exhaust leaks after the catalytic converter, replacing the downstream oxygen sensor, or fixing vacuum leaks.
