P2173 - High Airflow/Vacuum Leak Detected (Slow Accumulation)
The Technical Definition: The computer detects a massive amount of unmetered air entering the intake manifold.
Common Symptoms: The check engine light comes on, the red Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) lightning bolt light flashes on the dash, and the engine is aggressively forced into limp mode with a severely rough idle.
Typical Fix: On the 3.6L engine, this is notorious for being caused by a cracked plastic intake manifold or failed upper/lower intake manifold gaskets. It can also occasionally be triggered by a faulty electronic throttle body.
