My 2022 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe Build
Owning a 2022 Jeep Wrangler JL 4xe Sahara Hybrid has given me some challenges on what I wanted on my Jeep. As we all know, Jeeps are grownup’s Lego Toys. You can add things and make modifications to a Jeep Wrangler customizing it to your liking easily. When I purchased my 4xe I did not think much of it till I decided what I wanted on the Jeep. The things I wanted were common for a normal Jeep Wrangler but with a 4xe it has some limiting physical factors that can get in the way of adding all the things I wanted on my Jeep 4xe. I even made the issue a little bit more complex because my Jeep 4xe also has a Sky One Touch Power top. The last and most important thing is I did not want to Drill or Cut into the body of the Jeep at all. These modifications that I make all must be Bolt On Modifications without drilling or cutting.
The things I wanted on my Jeep were a front bumper with a winch and a back bumper with the ability to have tow rings on the back. I wanted to be able to add a Trailer hitch to the front of the Jeep for other important projects. I wanted a Cold Air intake (Water Snorkel), as well as a Lightbar and pod lights that go on the A-pillar of the Jeep.
That is a big list of things to add so far and for most Jeeps you can find the parts to help you do that but with the 4xe with a Sky One Touch Power Top that limits your choices to what you can add to the Jeep. The reason why this limits your choices is that the 4xe has a charging port on the driver side of the Jeep under the A pillar. The Sky One touch Power top also presents a problem because you do not want to open it up and look at the bottom side of a roof rack to see the sky. It kind of defeats the purpose of getting the Sky One Touch Power top if you cannot enjoy having the top off and not to be able to feel the air and see the sky. Most of the items I am adding to my Jeep can be added to a Jeep JK or Jeep JL. I will let you know if it only fits the JL in the section Title
